Writing DITA content with Adobe FrameMaker

Technical documentation is no longer tied to specific software, editors or platforms. Thanks to a standard such as DITA XML (Darwin Information Typing Architecture), you can develop modular content that you can also reuse, filter and publish to various channels and formats. DITA is no stranger to technical writers and information architects, and has now gained wider recognition since the emergence of GenAI.

But how do you apply this standard? Which information types should you use in which situations? How can you write in a way that is so independent of layout and presentation? How do you combine DITA topics into a DITA map? What about conditional content?

In this course, you will learn how to use DITA in practice.

Prerequisite: Structured Writing.
